Accessing your account settings
To access your account settings, click on your profile picture at the top right and select Settings. You will be redirected to your account settings page, where you can change your password, manage notifications and privacy settings, and select your preferred time zone.
Changing your password
Type your current password in the Current password field, under Account information.
Scroll down until you find the Password field. Type your new password, then confirm it in Confirm password.
Click save and your new password will be set up.
Recommendations to make your password stronger:
- Make it at least 12 characters
- Add lowercase letters
- Add uppercase letters
- Add numbers
- Add punctuation
Changing your email notification settings
The email notifications settings allow you to choose how many email notifications you want to receive from Changemakers for Children, and how often. To access your email notification settings, go to the Email notifications section.
Expand each field by clicking on the arrow down next to them to view the different types of notifications you receive from the platform. Select your preferred settings, then click Save.
Enabling push notifications
Enabling push notifications will allow Changemakers for Children to send you pop-ups with notifications, even when the website is closed. Those pop-ups will display at the bottom-right. To allow push notifications, scroll down until you find Push notifications and switch the lever to turn it on.
Click Save to record those changes.
Managing your privacy settings
You can easily select which information you want to display on your profile page to others in this section. Scroll down until you find the Privacy settings section, and apply the changes accordingly, then click Save to record those changes.
Changing your local time zone
Changemakers for Children uses the Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) as the default setting for time zones. To choose your preferred time zone, go to "Locale settings" and select from the dropdown list. That will change the date and time of all the events, topics, discussions and notifications.
