About events on Changemakers for Children
Every once in a while, you will receive notifications about new events created on Changemakers for Children. The community moderators use the events function both to host events on Changemakers for Children and to promote external events related to the child rights sector and our communities of practice.
Currently, only platform moderators can create new events on the platform. If you want to use Changemakers for Children to promote or host your own event, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss the details with you.
Searching for events
Click on Events to find all the upcoming and past events.
You can also preview the upcoming events on the right side of the platform's stream:
Once you arrive at the Events page, you will see the upcoming events for the communities and groups you have joined. You can filter your search based on the event's date and the content tags applied, or view the past events.
Enrolling in events
Select the event you want to attend to view the enrollment instructions. If the event is hosted externally, follow the instructions provided by the author of the topic to register. If the event is hosted on Changemakers for Children, click ENROLL.
Once enrolled, you will receive notifications about the event whenever someone comments on it. The organiser will also be able to send you direct emails and updates. You can also add the event to your calendar as displayed below:
Changemakers for Children show all the events, topics, and discussions date and time in the Universal Standard Time (UTC) by default. You can change your time zone by managing your account settings.
Joining the event
If the event is hosted on Changemakers for Children and organised by Family for Every Child, we will email you the link one hour before the event time. In addition, we usually provide the event join link in the event description or location.
