This year, 2023, the Blue Umbrella Day (BUD) campaign had a significant impact on different fronts where 22 members from 19 countries participated through awareness-raising, training and advocacy activities aimed at children, communities, key care workers, media, staff of public institutions and policymakers.

Overall, the campaign attempted to create a safer environment for boys and address the underlying abuse causes. Through raising awareness, training and advocacy activities, member organisations have promoted a culture of prevention, protection, and support for boys affected by sexual violence in their countries, ultimately working towards a society free from this form of abuse.

The efforts made by Family for Every Child members and secretariat reached more than 255,000 people through social media and over 17,000 directly. The member’s outreach is 320% more than that of the BUD campaign in 2022.
