This infographic provides an overview of key results from the first-ever VACS in a refugee settlement. The VACS data reveal the high rates of violence experienced by children and adolescents in 13 refugee settings in Uganda. Children's experience of sexual violence often occurs after their arrival in a refugee settlement, with negative repercussions on their mental health and schooling. Most child survivors of such violence do not seek care. Prevention and response efforts in refugee contexts need to be strengthened to address to these issues.
