The UN Human Rights Office (OHCHR), 5Rights Foundation, and the Digital Futures for Children Centre (DFC) are drawing attention to Our Digital World, Our Say, a priority child rights initiative designed to meaningfully engage children in shaping how their rights are understood and protected in the digital environment.

Children’s insights and voices are more essential than ever. Through child-friendly workshops delivered by their partners around the world, the initiative will create space for children to share their online experiences, reflect on access, privacy, safety and participation, and propose practical recommendations for a more rights-respecting digital world.

An explainer video (Facebook / Instagram) and a related OHCHR web story are available and encouraged for sharing across networks.

Workshop findings will directly inform global advocacy, including  a public report and contributions to ongoing UN human rights processes, ensuring that children’s perspectives influence the decisions that affect them most.

The organisers invite child rights organisations and civil society partners to participate by conducting workshops with children, using a methodology adapted for both in-person and online settings.
