The Global Kinship Care Week 2026 will run from 5th - 11th of October!
This campaign is led by 20 Family for Every Child organisations calling for better support for kinship care across 19 countries. It promotes kinship care as a key strategy to strengthen families and prevent family breakdown, and advocates for improved policies and practices to support kinship care worldwide.
This year, we are highlighting the main findings from our 2026 global kinship care policy survey to advocate for policy change. This project, in partnership with Lumos, helped us understand the realities of kinship care policies and practices in 21 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, Central Asia, Latin America, and Anglophone common-law systems.
