And do you currently have no or limited options for an ethical review? Get help on research ethics for your child-focused study from the Child Research Ethics Group (CREG)!

What is the CREG?

This collaborative initiative from Family for Every Child, Terre des Hommes Netherlands, and Children Unite brings together a pool of dedicated child protection researchers and practitioners passionate about ethical research practice. As NGOs and independent researchers, we often face limited options for external ethical approval and ongoing ethics support; the CREG was established to fill this crucial gap.

How can the CREG help me?

We welcome submissions of research protocols, consultation plans or evaluations from NGOs, independent researchers, and anyone without access to an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Research Ethics Committee. If your work is in the field of child protection/violence against children/care reform, and you would like support on research ethics, we have a group of experienced researchers from diverse contexts who can review your research plans and provide ongoing advice during the research journey. Our support is not a tick-box exercise; we offer tailored support for research with children and youth and for the use of participatory methodologies.
